Helping shoe manufacturers save time and costs, optimize productivity, and adapt flexibly to the challenges brought by the pandemic.

Founded in 1987 in Israel and now headquartered in Changhua, Taiwan, ORISOL has over 30 years of experience specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of automated shoe-making equipment and solutions. ORISOL emphasizes technological innovation and has established R&D centers in Taiwan, Israel, and Brazil. By integrating advanced technologies such as edge computing, cloud-based big data, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), augmented reality (AR), 5G communication, and CC-Link IE TSN networks, ORISOL continues to enhance its technological capabilities and product value.
With a global business perspective, ORISOL is dedicated to providing comprehensive automation solutions for every key process in shoe manufacturing — from upper assembly to final forming. The company also develops its own software and cloud-based systems covering design, production, and after-sales service, including digital design tools, IIoT platforms, and remote maintenance services. These integrated solutions help shoe manufacturers save time and costs, improve productivity, and respond flexibly to challenges such as those brought by the pandemic.

At Automation Taipei 2021, Orisys, a member of the e-F@ctory Alliance, was invited to exhibit its next-generation high-speed activation machine—the OFA series. This key equipment plays a critical role in the shoe molding process by activating adhesives used in footwear manufacturing. The OFA machine is equipped with Mitsubishi Electric PLC and features an advanced thermal control system that enables uniform heating and activation of both the upper and sole surfaces, ensuring a perfect bond between the shoe last and outsole. It includes an intelligent temperature control system that adjusts process parameters based on ambient conditions. With insulation and preheating functions, the machine can dynamically maintain its operating temperature even in standby mode. The intuitive human-machine interface allows operators to monitor lamp status, display and analyze voltage, current, and energy consumption, and record carbon emissions(KgCO2), contributing to comprehensive product carbon footprint tracking.
To ensure operator safety, the OFA series has obtained CE safety certification.
Amid the trends of smart manufacturing and digital transformation, shoe manufacturing equipment requires fast and reliable network transmission to connect with digital services, thereby increasing the added value of the equipment. To enhance network transmission quality, ORISOL collaborated with Mitsubishi Electric's Taiwan affiliate, Setsuyo Enterprise, to introduce CC-Link IE TSN technology into its next-generation high-speed activation machines. This significantly improves communication speed and reliability. Compared to RS-485 Modbus RTU, TSN communication speed has increased by more than 220 times, enabling real-time and stable connection with ORISOL's Industrial IoT platform and remote operation and maintenance services.
By utilizing Mitsubishi Electric's comprehensive e-F@ctory smart manufacturing solutions, edge computing is employed to process large volumes of on-site data in real time, transforming them into useful information for on-site improvement. The new generation of TSN network integrates information and control flows between the shop floor and IT systems. With new-generation AI-based industrial control products embedded within the equipment, customers can optimize production efficiency and flexibly respond to changes in the external environment.
ORISOL continuously explores how to use innovative technologies and comprehensive software-hardware integration services to help customers solve manufacturing process pain points, enabling them to be more resilient, flexible, and agile in responding to the rapidly changing post-pandemic environment.
